Who I Am

I'm an analytical Software & Data Engineer who thrives at the intersection of reliable data infrastructure and scalable cloud systems. Based in London, I bring hands-on experience across financial services and energy sectors — two industries where data integrity isn't optional.

Currently at Unitech Consultancy Services, I'm engineering data quality tooling for a large-scale banking migration — Sainsbury's Bank to NatWest — covering 1.1M customers. I built a YAML-driven wrapper around Great Expectations that lets ~20 engineers write data quality checks without needing Python expertise.

Previously at GlobalLogic India, I migrated 3M+ British Gas customers to a new AWS-based energy platform, architected serverless Lambda pipelines, and slashed deployment times by 80% with Terraform-driven CI/CD.

I hold an MSc in Big Data Science from Queen Mary University of London and three AWS/Terraform certifications. I write Python that other engineers actually want to use — and systems that don't break at 2am.

Where I've Worked

Data Engineer
Unitech Consultancy Services
Sept 2024 – Present

Banking migration · NatWest / Sainsbury's Bank · London, UK

  • Delivered 15K+ automated data quality checks across 4 migration events (Customer, Cards, Loans, Savings) covering 1.1M customers migrating from Sainsbury's Bank to NatWest.
  • Engineered a YAML-driven Python wrapper around Great Expectations, enabling ~20 engineers across 4 tenants to define quality checks without Python expertise — significantly reducing onboarding time.
  • Built custom GX expectations for CSV, Mainframe, TSYS, and flat file formats with pipeline actions publishing results to PostgreSQL and Splunk for real-time stakeholder visibility.
  • Led Operational Reconciliation using SQL-driven expectations with a 2% error threshold comparing source vs. target metrics (loan accounts, joint accounts, credit/debit totals) — results published to Splunk for sign-off.
  • Extended a custom Airflow provider with config-driven YAML-to-DAG translation, supporting 5+ production tenants orchestrating IDMC, GX, and scripted pipelines.
Software Engineer
GlobalLogic India

Cloud migration · Centrica (British Gas) · Energy sector

  • Architected scalable AWS solutions to migrate 3M+ customers from a legacy platform to a new UK Energy Platform, ensuring resilience throughout the transition.
  • Built CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Azure/GitLab, automating build, test, and AWS infrastructure deployment — reducing deployment time by 80%.
  • Implemented serverless AWS Lambda functions to automate Salesforce data operations (fetching/updating meter readings, tariff management) — enabling 24/7 self-service and eliminating manual intervention.
  • Enforced SOLID principles with comprehensive unit testing, achieving 90% code coverage across the codebase.
  • Managed 10+ microservice codebases, each backed by dedicated Lambda functions, improving uptime by removing human dependency from critical data operations.
